How is a Typhoon formed? A typhoon is formed when warm air from the ocean goes up which causes a low air pressure below. The air with higher air pressure forces it to go in the low pressure area that then become moist, warm, and move upward. While the hot air continues to move upwards, the air that is surrounding it makes it spin. Additionally as it rises and cools down, this leads to the formation of clouds due to the water present in the air. The heat and the evaporating water that comes from the surface also affects the clouds and wind which will continue to grow and swirl.
